Quantity
  • Ingredients List

    • 1kg minced beef or vegetables of your choice

    • 40-45g our Spicy Joes Sloppy Joes Blend

    • 3 tbsp vegetable cooking oil

    • 2 tbsp fresh minced garlic

    • 2 onions, diced

    • 4 tbsp tomato sauce

    • 4tbsp Worcestershire sauce

    • 1 Tin chopped tomatoes

    • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Cooking Instructions

1). This recipe uses staples that you’ll almost certainly be able to find in your kitchen cupboards; we’ll start by making the sauce. Combine the chopped tomato, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and your Spicy Joes Sloppy Joes Blend in a regular bowl and mix well.

2). Place a large pan onto a medium to high heat, adding the cooking oil to the pan once heated add the minced beef and make sure to break it up with a spatula, avoiding any large clumps remaining.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

3). Once brown, add the onions to the pan, cooking them until caramelised and tender. Last but not least is the minced garlic. Stir the ingredients together and cook until fragrant.

4). Pour the sauce from the bowl into the pan with the meat, and bring it to the boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Make sure to taste the sauce as you go, and add salt or pepper to taste. If you want a less thick sauce, add a little water.

5). After 10 minutes, the sauce should be thick and all the meat covered in the delicious sauce, ready to serve onto some toasted buns.

    6). Enjoy!

Note from Spicy Joes: You can enjoy this recipe using zucchini, or other hearty vegetables, as a substitute for meat!
