Quantity
  • Ingredients List

    • 3 heaped tbsp Spicy Joes Greek Gyros & Souvlaki Blend

    • 400ml Greek yoghurt

    • 50ml Olive Oil

    • 3 crushed garlic cloves

    • 30ml lemon juice

    • 1kg your preferred meat, off the bone

  • Cooking Instructions

1). Combine all of the ingredients for the marinade in one large bowl, making sure that everything is mixed together properly. After making the marinade, add your meat to the bowl and make sure it is thoroughly coated. Cover and let it chill for up to 24 hours; the longer you can leave it, the better!

2). After marinating your meat for as long as you can, take it out of the fridge and remove from the marinade. For a traditional souvlaki, cut your meat into bitesize chunks and put them on wooden skewers.

Tip: Make sure to soak your skewers in water for 30 minutes before using them, to make sure that they don’t burn while cooking!

3). If you’re using a barbecue, make sure that the coals have turned ashen and that the heat is high enough to slow-cook your souvlaki skewers. Make sure to turn the kebabs regularly to ensure even cooking, and a light char too!

4). Once your kebabs are fully cooked, they’re ready to eat! You can also serve souvlaki with tzatziki, salad and pitta breads if you’d like!
