Vindaloo is typically enjoyed in and around Goa, Our version of this delicious dish is not as firey hot, as many people think, we have blended our spices to make it a much more flavoursome dish. For those who enjoy the heat, just add more chilli during the cooking process.
500g Meat of choice, beef or lamb are perfect for this dish
5 tsp Veg Oil
1 Onion Finely chopped
5 tsp white wine vinegar
1 Can Chopped Tomatoes
2 - 3 tbls Spicy Joes Vindaloo Spice Blend
Garlic Ginger Paste
Basmati Rice or Naan Bread
1 Heat the oil, fry onion on med heat until browned.
2 Drain excess oil, mix with the vindaloo spice mix & white wine vinegar to form a paste
1. Add the ginger/garlic paste to the pan and cook for a few minutes while stirring.
2. If you like it extra hot add chilli now
3. Add yo ur meat
4 Add the vindaloo paste to the meat. Mix well until everything is coated in sauce.
5 Add tomatoes Bring to boil, simmer for 1 hr, stirring occasionally.
6 Boil rice for 15 minutes and heat naan under grill
7 Serve and enjoy while warm
